WhatsApp is working on a new chat poll feature: details here

WhatsApp is working on a new survey feature that allows users to provide feedback in a chat format. This new feature aims to build the functionality of WhatsApp to accept user feedback without compromising privacy. WhatsApp is also working on a new way in which people will be able to write themselves texts from any of the connected devices.

The survey section called “WhatsApp Surveys” will look like a chat. WAbetaInfo, a website that tracks new features of WhatsApp on beta versions, shared a screenshot of the image. WhatsApp will conduct a survey in the chat area to collect survey information. The user has the option to refuse to participate in these surveys. Going into the window we can see that WhatsApp will ask for permission before entering the search dialog. On the application screen it says, “Taking the survey is optional. If you choose to participate, your answers will be kept private.”

The user will also have the option to block this conversation at any time to prevent WhatsApp from making new searches for you in the future.

Reviews will be sent through your green verified WhatsApp account. Responding to surveys does not harm users. After answering, it will not be stopped or changed in the middle. WhatsApp uses this feedback to improve the user experience.

WhatsApp is also working on a method by which users can easily message themselves. Thanks to the new feature, WhatsApp users will be able to see their contact information even from connected devices to be able to send text messages. This feature is currently under development and is not yet available to beta testers. Users will be able to access their contacts from connected devices.
